But here's some safety information just in case.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBefore Lighting:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eBefore burning, always\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003etrim the wick to ¼ inch\u003c\/strong\u003e. They will come pre-cut but after the first burn you should trim the wick before burning again. You can use a wick trimmer, nail clippers, or scissors. Keep your hair and loose clothing away from the flame. This is to make sure they don’t melt one another, or create their own drafts that will cause the candles to burn improperly.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eExtinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly\u003c\/strong\u003e. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for unwanted drafts before re-lighting.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNever use a candle as a night light or while you may fall asleep.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eBe very careful if using candles during a power outage\u003c\/strong\u003e. Flashlights and other battery-powered lights are safer sources of light during a power failure. Never use a candle during a power outage to look for things in a closet, or when fueling equipment – such as a lantern or kerosene heater.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhen Extinguishing a Candle: \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eUse a candle snuffer\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eto extinguish a candle. It’s the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eNever use water to extinguish a candle\u003c\/strong\u003e. Water can cause the hot wax to splatter and might break a glass container.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMake sure the candle is completely out\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eand the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDon’t touch or move the candle\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003euntil it has completely cooled.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eNever use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003efrom a glass holder.
